Cambios del verbo en presente Simple  (-s, -es, -ies) con la tercera persona del singular:   (The family, my mother, someone, the dog, the house, the sun)   (He, She, It) Presente simple: es una acción cotidiana, lo que hace  ocasionalmente, en vacaciones, en las tardes, los fines de semanas, o es una costumbre en su estilo de vida o es un hecho natural: Observa los siguiente ejemplos: -S en verbos con la tercera persona del singular:
  • Maria always wakes up at 7.00 a: m.
  • The family usually visits friends on weekends.
  • She understands
  • It snows a lot in winter.
  • It smells delicious in the kitchen.
-es en Los verbos terminados con (ch,sh,s,x,z)  :  
  • My brother brushes his teeth every morning.
  • My mother relaxes with music. (relax-relaxes)
  • Tom teaches (teach-teaches)
-es en Los monosílabos do, go.  
  • Peter does his homework every weekday. (do-does)
  • My brother does his homework every weekday. (go-goes)
– Cuando el verbo tiene la terminación (consonante + Y ) se substituye la y por i: y se le agrega -es al verbo.
  • Susan studies at home everyday. (study-studies)
  • Peter tries to learn English step by step. (try-tries)
-Cuando el verbo tiene la terminación (Vocal + Y) solo se le agrega -s al verbo.
  • My father always pays for the bills at home. (pay-pays) .
  • My mother buys lot of food for us on weekends. (buy / buys)
  • My brother enjoys videogames during his free time. (enjoy-enjoys)
Verbo: TO HAVE: excepción de la regla: (have – has)
  • My brother has a bat for his baseball game .
  • My sister has a big house.
  • Maggie has to study English every day.
